Cryoware Supplies

Cryoware is a group of laboratory consumables that are used for the storage and preservation of biological samples at very low temperatures. These samples include, but not limited to, biological molecules, cells, tissues, and microorganisms. The most common temperatures for cryogenic storage are -80 °C or -196 °C (liquid nitrogen). Cryoware includes items such as cryogenic vials, cryogenic storage boxes, and cryogenic storage freezers.

Cryogenic vials are typically made of materials such as glass or plastic that can withstand the extreme temperatures of liquid nitrogen. They are designed to have a tight seal to prevent evaporation and contamination of the samples. Many cryogenic vials have a screw-cap or snap-cap lid, which can be sealed with an O-ring or a plastic seal, and have a writing spot. Some vials come in self-standing or round bottom design.
